Unfamiliar Ingredients

Constantly Changing Store Layouts

We conducted interviews with 11 individuals who encountered challenges while grocery shopping. Here are some of the insights we gathered from their experiences:

“Managing my gluten allergy made grocery shopping a real struggle for me. Even though some products are labeled gluten-free, you can't always trust them. It takes a closer look and careful consideration.”

“I often wish I could simply ask a question like, 'Which snacks are anti-inflammatory and gluten-free?' and receive a reliable answer. It would make my shopping experience much easier and help me make healthier choices.”

“Dealing with Lyme disease has turned me into an ingredient expert. I've had to educate myself about ingredients to monitor my diet closely. I must track what I consume and how it affects my body.”

Persona

People who live with health constraints and need to check ingredients or nutritions while shopping.

"Usually I will do a lot of research before shopping. I spent many time to learn how to read the nutrition label, and these knowledge are based on experience as well."

People who are looking for items in the store.

"Looking for items can be hard in the store, espencially when I am in hurry."
